Rejoice in the Lord, O you [uncompromisingly] righteous [you upright, in right standing with God]; for praise is becoming and appropriate for those who are upright in heart.
– Psalm 33:1
Praise. According to the Word of God, that's the most becoming, and appropriate thing that you as a Christian can do.
Be warned... what God's idea of appropriate praise is and your idea of what appropriate praise is may be two very, very different things. The praise God calls for... is joyous and uninhibited. To be quite honest, at times... it's just plain LOUD!!!
If you don't believe me, just look in the Bible and read about the kind of praise that goes on in heaven. Read Isaiah 6 and find out how they act and participate in the throne room. The seraphim shout in there until the doorposts shake!!! (THE DOORPOSTS SHAKE!!!) And when they do, the glory of the Lord fills the house. (AWESOME!!!)
When we get to heaven, we'll to be praising like that as well. There is no other way to praise!!! You're going to be jumping and leaping and praising God (Remember the children's song) with everything in you.
But don't wait until then to start praising God. Begin now. SHAKE THE DOORPOSTS!!!
Try something for me:
Instead of praising God in the manner and way you like, try to start doing it the way He likes. Begin to release those praises joyously, loudly, uninhibitedly. Don't wait until you get to heaven to praise God with all your being. Do it now. He deserves the Highest Praise!!!
Have a wonderful week. Chew on this Soul Food, and let it saturate your spirit.
Blessings,
Burk
