Don't Worry About It!!
Matthew 6:31
"Therefore do not worry and be anxious."
I have had tons of e-mails and phone calls the past week, pertaining to people scared out of their minds and fearful of the future... Let me shed some Godly light on this subject.
God is Totally against worry. Jesus preached against it. Paul preached against it. The whole entire Bible preaches against worry because it was designed by Satan to produce STRESS, STRAIN, and DEATH.
Yet many of us still act as if it's still an option, as if we're free to worry. But we're NOT! Worrying is a sin. It's one of those things that the word of God directly commands us not to do.
I can hear some of you now," Bryan, what are we suppose to do when life throws us curve balls?" In 1 Peter 5:7, God says you should "cast ALL your cares upon him." ALL, not 75% or 15%, ALL.
Your confession every morning should be," I don't have a care in this world, because I've cast every last one of them- onto God."
Let me illustrate this....I like things simple. Let's say you were standing about 20-25 feet away from me and I tossed my car keys to you. If someone then came up to me and said," Burk, I need to borrow the keys to your car." I would say," I can't help you. I threw my keys over to that person. I don't have them anymore."
That's what you need to do with your worries. You need to cast them over onto the Lord...and here's the kicker, and not take them back!!! If the enemy comes to you, and brings thoughts of," What if this terrible thing happens?" Tell him to talk to God about it. It's in His hands now!!!
Remember...God will not take you cares away from you...What?? ha ha ha You have to give them to Him. Then you begin to replace those worries with the Word. You are the one who has to keep your thoughts under Control. Taking every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ. The Greater One dwells within you. He is able to put you over, Commit to it. You're a Champion. Remember...in the end...We Win!!!
There you Have it... Two Daily Doses in One Day!!!

Seeking GOD
Heb 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Daily Dose
The key words in our text today are “earnestly seek him.” Sometimes I will set a goal during my prayer time to stay and pray longer. When I have the thought to stop praying and go do something else, I will commit to stay and pray even longer. Then when the thought comes again, I will stay even longer. Earnestly, seriously, and diligently I keep praying and seeking God. Often, something very special happens when I do this, I enter into that place where the love of God begins to overwhelm me. At times, tears will stream down my face as I am being touched in a personal way by God. During these times I begin to realize that my thoughts and prayers are directed in a different way, I become so aware of God being present, at that moment my prayers begin to get filled with faith!
Consider setting a goal today to stay in prayer a little longer, earnestly seeking God until he is found. Perhaps you could set a goal to try this every day for a week or even a month, what about for a life time? Our verse says He “rewards” those who earnestly seek him.
There's the challenge, and your Daily Dose!!
Peace,
B
