Can The Lord Count You In?

If we are honest, a lot of times we praise God for His faithfulness. We're thankful that we can always count on Him to be there and have our backs. But we rarely consider the fact that He needs us to be faithful as well.
It's true. God needs people He can count on. He needs faithful and wise people who are good stewards that He can trust with His household. In these last days, and final hours, He needs faithful believers to team up with, in order to manifest Himself in the earth more than ever before.
I know what you're thinking... Rolling your eyes while reading this and saying "Burk, whatever? God doesn't need me!"
Uh...Yes, He does!! Ever since Creation, when He gave man dominion over the earth, He's needed people to work with Him to get His will done here. You can see it all through the Bible.
When the children of Israel were in bondage in Egypt and He wanted to lead them out, He teamed up with a homie named, Moses, to get the job done. Moses' responsibility was to stretch out his hand in the earth and command the will of God to be done. BAM!!
Why did He choose Moses?
Because He needed someone who was faithful, and crazy enough to act on His Word. He needed someone He could count on, and He knew Moses was just that man!!
Psalm 103:7 says, "He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel."
If Moses hadn't known God's ways, the children of Israel would never have seen God's miracle's!!
God needs you just as He needed Moses. He needs you to be faithful and sensitive to spiritual things. He needs you to be someone He can trust to know His Word and be obedient to it. He needs you to be that person who will stretch out his hand like Moses did... so that He can perform signs and wonders before the people.
Will you be that person? It's a decision you have to make. No one can do it for you. It's a decision between you and God... Right now, commit yourself to be that wise and committed servant.
Determine in your heart and with your mouth, "God, You can count me in!!"
Until next time be blessed and have a wonderful week...
Blessings,
Burk

"Princess Leah"

This is the newest edition to the Burk household.... My lil' english bulldog,"Leah".

The Right Road To Choose

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live.

Have you ever had someone in your life say something like," God's going to get you for that!!" I've heard that for years, some say it jokingly, othertimes...uh... Not so jokingly!!. They've somehow got it into their dinky little heads that God slaps us around with pain and punishment every time we sin. NOT THE CASE!! There are deadly wages (consequences) for sin, but God is not the one who's dishin' them out.
The Bible clearly tells us there's been a curse in effect for thousands of years. And the devil is the cause of it, not God, not Daddy.... The "devil"!! God gave specific warnings of it in Deuteronomy 30:19. After describing in detail the blessings that fall upon those who follow God and the terrible suffering that would befall those who separate themselves from Him, He said, "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live."
Wrap your mind around this. Curseville is out there. God warned us about it and urged us not to travel the road that leads there. But He has promised to give us freedom, and He'll allow us to choose our own way. If we start down that road to Curseville and don't get off of it... we're going to end up there. Is that because God sent us there? Don't think so!! No! in fact, He urges us not to go there.
Here's the thing: At any point of the journey whether you're on the road to Curseville or living right in the middle of it - God CAN, and WILL save you from it. He'll take you out of there and deliver you, and put you on the right path. He'll deliver you from diseases, addictions, or anything else that's been holding you captive.
Today... if you find yourself on the wrong road and see destruction ahead, it's easy to get back on the right road... Just repent. Just commit your way to Jesus and He'll deliver you from whatever may be holding you down. You can begin by praying, "Lord Jesus, I've chosen the wrong road and right now I ask You to forgive me. Today I choose life by choosing Your way. Please deliver me from this bondage and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord!"
Remember this: No matter what you've done, God doesn't want to get you for it, He wants to forgive you of it. He doesn't want to slap you around, He wants to save you and lift you up. Trust Him and let Him put you on the right road of life today!
Be Blessed, and have a wonderful week!!

Peace,
B
